Carepatron insurance: International user guide

Is Carepatron's insurance module available outside the US?

Carepatron's insurance module is currently only available for US-based users for electronic claim filing. However, if you're based outside the US, you can still use the insurance feature.


What international users can do

Contact policies & service coverage

  • Add and store client insurance policy details

  • Set service coverage, copay, and excess amounts

  • Use the policy intake component to capture insurance information during client onboarding

Insurance billing

  • Specify client and insurance payment portions on billing items

  • Record manual insurance payments

  • Track and record insurance amounts for billing outside Carepatron


How to manage insurance as an international user

Adding a client's insurance policy

  1. Go to Clients and open the relevant client profile.

  2. Navigate to the Insurance tab.

  3. Click Add insurance and fill in the policy details.

  4. Set the service coverage, copay, or excess amounts as needed.

  5. Click Save to store the policy information.

Recording a manual insurance payment

  1. Open the client's Billing section.

  2. Create or open an existing invoice.

  3. Specify the insurance and client payment portions on the billing item.

  4. Record the insurance payment manually in Carepatron.
