Edit Stripe Descriptor

How to edit Stripe descriptor?

What is a Stripe descriptor?

Your Stripe descriptor is the specific text Stripe displays on your client's statement for each transaction processed through your Carepatron workspace. It typically reflects your practice or business name so clients can easily recognize the charge.

Statement descriptor requirements

Your descriptor must meet the following requirements:

  • Between 5 and 22 characters.

  • Contains only Latin characters.

  • Includes at least one letter.

  • Reflects your Doing Business As (DBA) name.

  • Does not contain any of these special characters: < > \ ' " *

  • Is more than a single common term or generic website URL. A URL is acceptable only if it clearly describes the transaction.

If using a prefix and suffix combination, both parts must each include at least one letter. A static prefix must be between 2 and 10 characters; the remaining characters are reserved for the dynamic suffix.

To edit your statement descriptor:

  1. Go to Settings > Billing.

  2. Click Edit in the Payment settings section.

  3. Update the Stripe descriptor.

  4. Click Save.

Our team is here to help with any questions or concerns. Just open a conversation through the Help channel in your workspace.
