Carepatron's billing features include the ability to issue refunds to clients.
Processing a refund for clients
To refund a client, do the following:
Go to the Client section and choose the client.
Navigate to the Billing tab.
Go to the Payments tab.
Locate the payment you want to refund.
Enter the amount you want to refund along with the reason.
Click the Refund button.
Note: The refund will be processed immediately, and the client will receive notification via email.
Important Notes:
Refunds are processed through Stripe. In some cases, high-risk refunds may trigger a manual review process.
If you do not have sufficient funds in your Stripe account to cover the refund, the refund may be declined.
Fees paid by clients are non-refundable.
Manual payments can still be marked as refunded for record-keeping; however, no funds will be transferred by Carepatron, and refunds must be returned to the client by you.
It is not possible to mark a Stripe payment as refunded without initiating a refund through Stripe.
Tips:
When issuing a refund, be sure to include a reason for the refund in the notes field.
If you are issuing a partial refund, be sure to specify the refund amount and the reason for the refund in the notes field.
You can also issue credits to clients instead of refunds. Credits can be used to offset future invoices.
