Does Carepatron have a reporting feature?

The Insights page gives you a central place to monitor your practice's performance. It includes a Dashboard for viewing trends at a glance and a Reports page for exporting detailed data. Both are available now as part of Carepatron's Beta program.

The Dashboard: Viewing trends and practice insights

The Dashboard gives you a quick view of key metrics across your practice. Use it to identify trends and gauge operations over a selected period.

Filtering by date range

Select a date range to recalculate all dashboard metrics for that period. Several quick-select options are available.

Comparing periods

The comparison option shows how the selected period performs against the previous equivalent period. This makes it easier to identify whether a metric is improving, declining, or holding steady.


The Reports page

The Reports page allows you to export fine-grained data for a selected date range. Reports are generated in the background and do not require you to stay on the page while they process.

  • Export format: Choose CSV or Excel when exporting

  • Background processing: Reports are calculated in the background. You can navigate away while they generate.

  • Previous exports: Previously generated reports are available to download again for 7 days

Reports expire after 7 days. Download any report you need before it is removed from the list.

Available reports

The following reports are available to generate. Select any report, choose a date range, and export in your preferred format.

  • Appointments by provider (weekly): Total, completed, no-show, and cancelled appointments grouped by provider and ISO week.

  • Revenue and income summary: Invoice line items with amounts, tax, and status, filtered by date range and provider.

  • Outstanding patient balances: Clients with unpaid invoices grouped into aging buckets: current, 1-30, 31-60, 61-90, and 90+ days overdue.

  • Appointment and visit volume: Total, completed, no-show, and cancelled appointments per provider, with no-show and cancellation rates.

  • Collections report: Payments received over the selected date range, with source, method, fees, and refund status.

  • End-of-day report: Daily payment totals grouped by source and method, including counts, amounts, fees, refunds, and net collected.
