How do I set up telehealth?

Telehealth in Carepatron makes it easy to connect with your clients virtually, right from your workspace. This guide will help you set up your video call settings, schedule sessions, and use all the features you need to provide smooth, secure, and professional remote care.

This article focuses on the Carepatron telehealth tool. To add other tools such as Google Meet or Microsoft Teams, please read how to add office or virtual locations.


Adding Carepatron Telehealth virtual location

If the Carepatron Virtual Location is not showing up automatically in your workspace locations, you can add the option by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Workspace Settings page.

  2. Navigate to the Details tab.

  3. Select either + New Location or Edit.

  4. Select Telehealth Video Call in Location type.

  5. Provide a Display name for this location.

  6. Click Save when done.

Note: You can leave the Link field blank when creating a Telehealth Video Call location.


Scheduling a Telehealth video call

  1. Go to Calendar.

  2. Select + New and click Book appointment.

  3. Fill out the information as needed.

  4. Under Location, choose Carepatron: Video conferencing.

  5. Click Create when done.


Starting a Carepatron Telehealth virtual call

Your Carepatron Virtual Location is set up, and you have scheduled a Telehealth Virtual Call with one of your clients. Now, it's time to learn how to start the call and what the Telehealth feature offers.

  1. Go to the scheduled Appointment and select Start Video Call.

  2. Click Join now to begin the call.

  3. Once on the call, you can monitor attendees and send messages through the call's chat.

  4. You can minimize the call window by clicking on the Minimize option. You can also use Share your screen to show clients any document or information. These and all other call actions can be found at the bottom of the screen.

  5. After wrapping up, click End Call to close the Telehealth Video Call.

As a host, you can:

  • Modify the microphone, camera, and general settings, as well as the available virtual background effects at any point during your call.

  • The meeting link can be copied and shared with as many people as necessary.

  • Mute/Unmute:

    • Hover over an attendee's video tile to mute/unmute them.

    • Use the Attendee List panel to access the mute/unmute option.

  • Remove an attendee:

    • Hover over their video tile or use the Attendee List panel to select Remove from call.
