Importing Clients to Carepatron

This article will help you import your client database from your previously used program to your Carepatron Workspace.

Note: If you previously used another patient management platform, please make sure they provide a file with your client database, it will be crucial in the import of information to your Carepatron Workspace. Please make sure the file provided is either a .zip, .csv, .xlsx, or .xls file. Once you have received the file from your previous platform, follow the steps shown below to import the information to your workspace.


Importing your clients

  1. Go to "Clients"

  2. Click "Import" in the top right corner

  3. Choose the data source and click "Upload file"

  4. Select and open the preferred file

  5. Set your preferences for what information to import for each field

  6. Add additional fields by scrolling down and clicking "+ Add custom field", providing a name for the field, and clicking "Add" when done.

  7. Once this has been completed, and you have made sure your client data is assigned to the correct fields, click Submit and your client records will be imported to your workspace.


How do I export my client data from my existing system?

Navigate to the Contacts page and click Export to generate and download a report into a CSV file.
